Brenda Mann Hammack does not keep her children in jars . . . if only because she does not have any. However, she does teach children's literature, Victorian literature, and creative writing at Fayetteville State University where she also serves as faculty adviser for Glint Literary Journal. Her poetry has appeared in Steampunk Magazine, A capella Zoo, Gargoyle, and Arsenic Lobster. Her scholarly publications include articles on Florence Marryat's 1897 novel The Blood of the Vampire.
